GREASE PARTY!

Wednesday, May 5th

After Choir. Wear your 50's Finest.

We have a GROOVY fifties party coming up Wednesday, May 5th in the Welcome Center right after choir. We’ll have drinks waitin’ for you. First Altos, please bring a dessert, everyone else bring an appetizer. Party details below.

We were going to Party down the street from Rydell High at that CRAZY Burger Palace. I asked you not to tell your parents!! But some real DRAG DUDE spilled the beans to their POPS and now that idea is shot down. It was “Heartbreak Hotel” for a bit. I thought I was gonna “Cry Me A River”. But NO SWEAT, DIG this, we are going to switch it the gym (Welcome Center) down the hall. It’ll be FAR OUT! O.K., so maybe that does mean NO GUM, and no SMOKING IN THE BOYS ROOM, but that’s COOL, just HANG LOOSE.

Mimi is helping with plates and stuff, Julie is bringing some tunes to play on the “Juke Box Baby”. There are rumors that Chubby Checkers is going to be in town and might drop by. Would that be GROOVY or what?! Jan and Carole are leading the decoration team, when you see it you’ll just FLIP.

We’ll have drinks just waitin’ for you. First Altos, please bring a dessert, everyone else bring an appetizer. Make it your 50’s favorite if you want. Pigs in a blanket, or onion dip, or jello chunks, or maybe cheese whiz on saltines dipped in mushroom soup??

We could still use some help on the clean up crew. So “Don’t Be Cruel”, if you are going to HANG until “The Party’s Over”, your help would be COOL.

CHICKS wear your best 50’s clothes, poodle skirts and a tight sweater, or clam-diggers and bobby sox, or if you have to come right from cheerleading practice or something, just wear your uniform. You CATS get your ducktail trimmed and brush up your white bucks, or polish your saddle shoes. Pull on your peg leg pants, or just roll up your jeans.

Even if you’re not “Sixteen Going on Seventeen”, or “Young and Foolish” anymore, you are still “Young at Heart”. We’re gonna “Rock Around the Clock”. All you HIP CHICKS and COOL CATS are going to have one HAIRY night…“Memories Are Made of This.” So, unless you are stranded somewhere on “Blueberry Hill”, BE THERE OR BE SQUARE.
