Paul Jacobs has re-invigorated the American organ scene with his once-in-a-generation gift as a performer. His fellow organists have been quick to applaud his phenomenal technique, memory, charismatic stage presence, huge repertoire spanning five centuries, and the sense of showmanship he brings to an instrument more usually associated with staid and reserved performances. Paul Jacobs is also creating a new interest for the organ in the wider musical world, which has recognized him as a musician of rare stature. The New York Times calls Jacobs a "brilliant young organist and evangelist for the instrument." He keeps the audience spellbound and provokes a rare mid-concert standing ovation...a dazzling display of technique and daring. Jacobs is the Chairman of the Organ Department at The Julliard School in New York City.
Concert Admission: Free to the public
