New Practice Chairs a Possibility PDF Print E-mail
Written by H.E. Barney Burroughs

You might have noticed that the chairs in the choir room are past their prime. The fact is that they are older than many of our choir members! Happily, the choir has received a monetary gift designated for chair replacement, and I have been asked to chair the Chair Committee.

The committee would like to proceed with the chair selection process in order to get the new chairs in service by early 2008. A committee is being formed over the next several weeks to select, evaluate and recommend chairs that will provide acceptable comfort, sturdiness, support, versatility, and value.

Since the gift will not cover the entire cost of the replacement chairs, choir members will be given the opportunity to contribute toward the “Chair Replacement” fund. We will also extend a similar invitation to other groups that use our practice room. Unfortunately we will not know the exact cost of each chair until the committee finishes the evaluation process, but we will communicate that information as soon as possible. If you would like to support this effort by buying “your” chair or contributing towards chair replacement, please let the Music Staff or meknow this as soon as possible.

Thank you!
