Living Toward Eternity
(Mike Long’s Sermon Series - January 8 through February 12)

The Sanctuary Choir works hard to provide worshipful and meaningful music for each Sunday of the year. Our Senior Minister, Dr. Mike Long, does an outstanding job of planning his sermon themes far enough in advance to allow me to select anthems that will support, and hopefully, illuminate the messages he prepares. On Sunday, January 8, Mike will begin a new series entitled Living Toward Eternity. In this six week series he will cover such topics as life after death, Hell, Heaven, and the last judgment.

Listed below are the weekly sermon titles, along with the anthems I’ve selected to accompany them:.

Jan. 8 Life After Death Be Not Afraid - Courtney
Jan. 15 A Biblical Look at Hell I Surely He Hath Borne Our Griefs – Handel
Jan. 22 A Biblical Look at Hell II Thy Will Be Done – Courtney
Jan. 29 What is the Last Judgment? When I Survey the Wondrous Cross – Martin
Feb. 5 A Biblical Look at Heaven I Lead, Kindly Light – Wilberg
Feb. 12 A Biblical Look at Heaven II And All the Earth Shall Own Him Lord – Parry

I hope you know what an important contribution you make to the worship experience each week.
Please accept my heartfelt appreciation for all you do.

Michael

Verse of The Day

“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” (1 John 4:18)
